Arvato Systems, a leading provider of IT services, has successfully introduced a customized AS4 solution for its customers. This innovative platform enables secure and efficient data exchange in the energy market by using the new AS4 communication standard, which was introduced on April 1, 2024. With the Arvato Systems AS4 solution, customers benefit from improved interoperability and increased security in data transmission.

As project manager, MH IT Consulting supported Arvato Systems and its customers in migrating market communication from email and AS2 to the new AS4 standard. Thanks to its expertise in IT transformation projects, the migration was completed smoothly and on schedule, giving the companies involved in the German energy market a seamless transition and immediate use of the new standard.

On April 1, 2024, the new AS4 communication standard for the electricity market took effect. AS4 stands for Applicability Statement 4 and represents a significant advance in secure and efficient data transmission between market participants. The standard is based on modern web services and enables improved interoperability as well as greater security in data exchange. This is an important step toward the digitalization and optimization of market processes in the energy sector.

The dispatch center renewal program PERLE (German: “Programm ERneuerung LEitstellen”) of the fire department and police of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg aims to introduce new, future-proof command and control technology with a modern IT system architecture and innovative software solutions in two transformation phases. In parallel, two new purpose-built facilities are being constructed for the fire department’s emergency dispatch center and the police operations center. These buildings are being equipped with state-of-the-art technology and innovative work concepts to meet the current and future demands of day-to-day emergency operations.

MH IT Consulting supports PERLE in raising Hamburg’s command and control technology to a new, future-proof level, significantly improving safety and efficiency in emergency communications. As program planner, MH IT Consulting supports PERLE in consolidating the project plans from the PERLE-IT and PERLE-Bau (construction) projects as well as various detailed plans from service providers and contractors. The holistic, overarching program plan serves as the guardrail for all project planning and workflows in the projects and subprojects and is the program’s central steering instrument in the lead dimension of time. MH IT Consulting also advises and supports the build-out and migration of the computer-aided dispatch system in the PERLE-IT project with extensive project management, architecture, and testing expertise. The dispatch centers of the Hamburg fire department and police receive more than 1,000 emergency calls every day. Around the clock, they are the central point of contact for all residents in the 040 area code who report an emergency.
